OUR REVIEW
When you first log onto the elitemate.com website you will be given a chance to see their homepage. This has thrown me off from this site in a lot of ways. The website has a cluttered and unprofessional feel to it and makes me want to turn away instantly. They even have a google ads thing, which is fine for most sites, but since it lists close matches why would you want your competitors listed? This leads me to believe that they are not making enough money off their dating service alone.
The first time you login to elitemate.com you get free access to their database. You also get an almost full membership. This is great for being able to tryout what the site has to offer and what’s good and bad about the site. However, this free membership is for only one login. Most sites will allow you awhile to test them out and see if you like their software. It’s nice to be able to have some time to decide things for yourself.
After clicking their testimonials to see what kind of feedback they get from people I was shocked. The page looked so unprofessional. With the pictures stretched out and looking bad it was clearly another lack of though on the web designers’ part. The page looked almost like an amateur had designed and built it.
Besides the bad design qualities the content didn’t impress me too much either. After reviewing some of their articles I found them to be kind of immature. This leads me to believe that either the reviews were real, or that they are a poor creation done to drive more traffic to the site. This cannot be judged by a review but must be seen by the reviewer to get a true understanding of how it looks.
After checking out the testimonials page I checked out the new features page. This page had another bad design to it, but hey, it’s to be expected now. They are promising some rather cool features for their dating service though. Here are just a few:
Astrology Feature which will allow users to get charts relating to astrology.
Safety tips are now offered to teach members how to be safe and have a good time while using the online dating sites.
A telephone system in which you can anonymously call other users if they allow your call to go through. This will allow people to call each other without getting personal details so they can learn more about the other person.
You will be able to send your picture to any member’s cell phone so that you can keep in touch through cell phones and they can see just who you are.
Once nice feature about this site is how you get a private e-mail when you join. This allows you to keep your personal information secure while being able to communicate with other members of the site.
You also can make a customizable profile using this site so you can give details about yourself and give other members something to look at. Profiles are a great way for people to get in touch with other members on dating sites.
The search feature allows searching by gender, age, location, and profiles. It’s an easy to use search engine that will have you looking up other people in no time at all. It also allows you to get pretty accurate to the type of people you are looking for.
All in all elitemate.com wasn’t a very impressive site. While they did have some good content they didn’t present it very well. If they would work n their presentation and how they organize things then they might be able to become a good dating site. |
